No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Bahrain Al-Manama (3-3) defeated at home 7th ranked Qatari Al Sadd (1-5) 98-86 on Tuesday. Al-Manama looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Lamont Jones (183-1990, college: Iona, agency: Diamond Sports) stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Elijah Robinson (200-1995, college: Emmanuel, GA) chipped in 19 points. Robinson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Al-Manama's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American-German forward Waverly Austin (211-1991, college: Oregon, agency: Diamond Sports) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and American Vander Blue (196-1992, college: Marquette) scored 32 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending Bahrain champion maintains fourth place with 3-3 record, which they share with Orthodox and Kazma. Al Sadd lost their fourth game in a row. Defending Qatari champion keeps the seventh position with five games lost.
