Very predictable result in Beijing where eighth ranked Guangsha Lions (21-17) beat 16th ranked Royal Fighters (13-23) 107-102 on Monday. Guangsha Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Minghui Sun (187-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals and the former international center Jinqiu Hu (211-1997) who added 25 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Trae Golden (189-1991, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 24 points and 7 assists and the former international center Changdong Yu (206-1991) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Guangsha Lions have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 21-17 record. Loser Royal Fighters keep the sixteenth place with 23 games lost. Guangsha Lions will meet higher ranked Ducks (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Royal Fighters will play against Aviators (#4) in Shenzhen and hope to secure a win.
