There was a minor upset in Takamatsu where 4th placed Fukushima (23-26) was defeated by seventh ranked Kagawa FA (13-36) 88-83 on Sunday. Kagawa FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-1996) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. American Kyle Richardson (200-1991, college: Portland St.) chipped in 18 points. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) added 21 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA maintains seventh place with 13-36 record, which they share with Tokyo Z. Loser Fukushima keeps the fourth position with 26 games lost. They share it with Aomori W.. Kagawa FA will meet at home league's leader Saga B. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fukushima will play against Nishinomiya S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
