Regular Season Round 26: Pilots - Steelers 86-99

Very important is a loss of third ranked Pilots (15-12) against sixth ranked Steelers (7-20) on Sunday night. Pilots were defeated by Steelers 99-86. Steelers forced 19 Pilots turnovers. Naturalized American point guard Jeremy Lin (191-1988, college: Harvard) scored 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American center Wendell Lewis (208-1989, college: Alabama St.) chipped in 12 points and 19 rebounds during the contest. Four Steelers players scored in double figures. International guard Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) responded with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-1990, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Steelers maintains sixth position with 7-20 record. Pilots lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 12 games lost. Steelers will play against league's second-placed Fubon Braves in Taipei in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pilots will play on the road against the league's leader Kings in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
