Regular Season Round 26: Fubon Braves - Lioneers 112-99

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Fubon Braves (17-12) beat 5th ranked Lioneers (11-17) 112-99 on Sunday. Fubon Braves forced 21 Lioneers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) supported him with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 42 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds by the former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) did not help to save the game for Lioneers. Point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-1998) added 21 points and 6 assists for Fubon Braves. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves maintains second position with 17-12 record having two points less than leader Kings. Loser Lioneers keep the fifth place with 17 games lost. Fubon Braves will meet bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in the next round. Lioneers will play against Dreamers in Changhua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
