No shocking result in a game in Dongguan where second ranked Guandong Tigers (29-7) defeated 14th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (16-21) 92-82 on Sunday. Guandong Tigers forced 31 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American MarShon Brooks (197-1989, college: Providence) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Rui Zhao (195-1996) who added 6 points, 9 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side American center Devin Williams (206-1994, college: WVU) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Zhou Zhao (198-1995) scored 22 points. Four Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guandong Tigers maintains second position with 29-7 record having just two points less than leader Zhejiang GB. Loser Jiangsu Dragons keep the fourteenth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Qingdao E.. Guandong Tigers will meet at home bottom-ranked Rockets (#20) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Flying Leopards (#3) in Yingkou and hope to secure a win.
