Regular Season Round 43: Nagoya DD - Osaka E. 92-91

Sixth-ranked Osaka E. (19-23) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Nagoya DD (29-13) on Sunday. Nagoya DD managed to secure only one-point victory 92-91. However their fans expected easier game. Nagoya DD looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Scott Eatherton (206-1991, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Taito Nakahigashi (190-1992) helped adding 19 points and 9 assists. At the losing side American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-1991) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Osaka E.'s coach Mathias Fischer rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nagoya DD maintains fourth place with 29-13 record which they share with defeated Osaka E. Osaka E. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 23 games lost. They share it with Shinshu BW. Nagoya DD are looking forward to face higher ranked Hiroshima D. (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Osaka E. will play against the league's leader Shimane SM and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
