The game in Nur-Sultan supposed to be quite interesting. Third ranked Almaty L. (21-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Gotobeles (9-16). Almaty L. smashed Gotobeles 99-51 on Saturday. Almaty L. dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Gotobeles' 22. Almaty L. forced 35 Gotobeles turnovers and outrebounded them 43-24 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Gotobeles' players. The best player for the winners was point guard Daniil Severgin (183-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 assists and 6 steals. Almaty L. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Newly promoted Almaty L. maintains third position with 21-4 record having seven points less than leader Shymkent. Gotobeles at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the eighth place with 16 games lost. Almaty L. are looking forward to face ChelSU (#10) in Kostanay in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gotobeles will play on the road against the league's second-placed Bars in Petropavlovsk and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
