Not a big story in a game in Changchun where 9th ranked Jilin Tigers (18-17) were defeated by fourth ranked Aviators (25-11) 94-89 on Friday. Aviators looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Quan Gu (201-1992) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Aviators players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Yuxing Jiang (193-1995) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Aviators have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 25-11 record. Loser Jilin Tigers dropped to the tenth position with 17 games lost. Aviators will meet higher ranked Flying Leopards (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jilin Tigers will play against Flying Tigers (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
