Regular Season Round 41: Chiba Jets - Hokkaido L. 94-80

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Chiba Jets (36-4) defeated at home 8th ranked Hokkaido L. (10-30) 94-80 on Wednesday. Chiba Jets made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Hokkaido L. outrebounded Chiba Jets 38-22 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) for the winners and American guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Shuto Terazono (165-1994) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive series of twenty two victories in a row. They maintain first place with 36-4 record. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the eighth position with 30 games lost. Chiba Jets will meet Kyoto H. (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hokkaido L. will play against Sea Horses M. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
