Very important is a road loss of third ranked Flying Leopards (25-8) against sixth ranked Sharks (20-15) on Wednesday night. Visiting Flying Leopards were defeated by Sharks in a tough game in Shanghai 105-109. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Flying Leopards. Sharks made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Flying Leopards were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Melo Trimble (190-1995, college: Maryland, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Zheng Liu (192-1990) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The former international Ailun Guo (189-1993) responded with 29 points and 6 assists and international Zhenlin Zhang (206-1999, college: Tulane) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Sharks maintains sixth position with 20-15 record. Defending champion Flying Leopards keep the third place with eight games lost. Sharks will play against Sturgeons (#18) in Jinjiang in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Flying Leopards will play at home against Rockets (#20) and hope to get back on the winning track.
