Rather predictable result when third ranked Hiroshima D. (29-11) beat at home 7th ranked Kyoto H. (17-23) 102-95 on Wednesday. Hiroshima D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The former international point guard Ryo Terashima (179-1997) stepped up and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Canadian-Filipino guard Matthew Wright (193-1991, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with 26 points and 8 assists and Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Five Hiroshima D. and four Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hiroshima D. maintains third place with 29-11 record having seven points less than leader Yokohama BC. Loser Kyoto H. keeps the seventh position with 23 games lost. Hiroshima D. will meet Ibaraki R.
