Regular Season Round 38: Shenzhen L. - Beijing D. 92-85

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Aviators (24-11) won against 6th ranked Ducks (19-15) in Shenzhen 92-85 on Tuesday. Aviators forced 21 Ducks turnovers. Strangely Ducks outrebounded Aviators 53-38 including 20 on the offensive glass. American forward Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and point guard Haotian Bai (194-1999) supported him with 17 points. Even a double-double of 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by Israeli-American forward TJ Leaf (208-1997, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for Ducks. The former international Xiaochuan Zhai (205-1993) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aviators have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 24-11 record. Loser Ducks dropped to the seventh place with 15 games lost. Aviators will meet Jilin Tigers (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Ducks will play against Flying Tigers and hope to secure a win.
