No shocking result in a game when seventeenth ranked Blue Whales (9-25) beat bottom-ranked Rockets (2-33) in Ningbo 113-101 on Tuesday. Blue Whales dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets' 38. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Blue Whales looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international point guard Shuo Han (197-1986) notched 23 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals to lead the effort and American point guard Marlain Veal (175-1996, college: SE Louisiana) supported him with 27 points. Even 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists by point guard Xuan Wang (184-1997) did not help to save the game for Rockets. American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Four Blue Whales and five Rockets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Blue Whales maintains seventeenth position with 9-25 record. Rockets lost thirteenth consecutive game.
