Qualifying Round Round 8: Al Sadd - Al Nassr 84-86

The most shocking disappointment of round 8 was only two-point a home defeat of 6th ranked Qatari Al Sadd (1-4) to seventh ranked Saudi Arabian Al Nassr (2-3) 86-84. Worth to mention a great performance of Nasser Abo Jallas who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Brandon Austin (198-1994, college: NW Florida St.) who added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. American Vander Blue (196-1992, college: Marquette) responded with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American-German forward Waverly Austin (211-1991, college: Oregon, agency: Diamond Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Five Al Nassr and four Al Sadd players scored in double figures. Al Nassr moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Al Sadd lost third consecutive game. Defending Qatari champion dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Al Nassr is looking forward to face league's leader Kuwait in Kuwait City in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Al Sadd will play on the road against Al-Manama (#4) in Manama and is hoping to win this game.
