Regular Season Round 25: Steelers - Lioneers 76-85

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Steelers' (6-20) loss to fifth ranked Lioneers (11-16) 76-85 on Saturday. Lioneers outrebounded Steelers 56-41 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 28 rebounds for the winners and American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-1991, college: Louisville) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Lioneers players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ukrainian center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-1987, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Yu-Wei Chen (183-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lioneers moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Dreamers. Loser Steelers stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Lioneers will meet league's second-placed Fubon Braves in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Steelers will play against Pilots (#3) in Taoyuan and hope to secure a win.
