Regular Season Round 44: Saga B. - Nishinomiya S. 78-85

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Saga B. (38-8) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Nishinomiya S. (22-24) 85-78. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Saga B.. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Trey Porter (208-1996, college: Nevada) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. The former international forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-1992) responded with 21 points and 7 assists and point guard Taiki Sumida (182-1999) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nishinomiya S. moved-up to third place. Saga B. at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. Nishinomiya S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saga B. will play again at home against Nishinomiya S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
