CBA top team - Golden Bulls (28-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Eagles (14-19) in Hangzhou 118-102. Golden Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles' 40 and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Golden Bulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The winners were led by the former international point guard Qian Wu (188-1994) who scored that evening 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American Jarmar Gulley (196-1991, college: Missouri St.) supported him with 23 points and 6 assists. Five Golden Bulls players scored in double figures. Even 49 points (!!!) (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) by American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) did not help to save the game for Eagles. Zhuo Ji (209-2000) added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Golden Bulls have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-4 record. Eagles at the other side keep the fifteenth place with 19 games lost. Golden Bulls will play against Long-Lions (#13) in Guangzhou in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Eagles will play at home against Monkey Kings and hope to get back on the winning track.
