Regular Season Round 25: Steelers - Fubon Braves 103-102

Important game to mention about was the one when sixth ranked Steelers (6-20) saved a 1-point derby victory edging 3rd placed Fubon Braves (16-11) 103-102 on Friday evening. Steelers players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Jamaican-American power forward Femi Olujobi (206-1996, college: DePaul, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. American forward Gokul Natesan (196-1994, college: Colorado Mines, agency: Haylett Sports) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Fubon Braves. Four Steelers and five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Steelers maintains sixth place with 6-20 record. Fubon Braves at the other side dropped to the second position with 11 games lost. Steelers will play against higher ranked Pilots (#3) in Taoyuan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fubon Braves will play at home against Lioneers and hope to get back on the winning track.
