Regular Season Round 43: Nishinomiya S. - Koshigaya A. 57-69

An interesting game for Koshigaya A. (33-12) which played road game in Hyogo against 3rd placed Nishinomiya S. (21-24). Second ranked Koshigaya A. managed to get a 12-point victory 69-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nishinomiya S.. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Brekkott Chapman (206-1996, college: Weber St.) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Trey Porter (208-1996, college: Nevada) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks and forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Nishinomiya S. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koshigaya A. maintains second place with 33-12 record having five points less than leader Chiba. Loser Nishinomiya S. keeps the third position with 24 games lost. They share it with Ehime OV and Fukushima. Koshigaya A. will meet at home Kagawa FA (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nishinomiya S. will play against the league's leader Saga B. (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
