Regular Season Round 22: Niigata R. - Yamanashi QB 71-83

Rather predictable result in Tokyo where twelfth ranked Yamanashi QB (5-17) defeated bottom-ranked Niigata R. (3-19) 83-71. Yamanashi QB shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Point guard Honoka Tsuchida (165-1997) notched 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Nanami Hamanishi (168-1998) supported her with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Yamanashi QB players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by guard Nakamura Hana (172-2003) did not help to save the game for Niigata R.. Center Yumi Yano (180-1997) added 8 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yamanashi QB moved-up to eleventh place. Niigata R. at the other side stay dead last with 19 lost games. Yamanashi QB will play against higher ranked Aishin AW (#10) in Anjo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
