Regular Season Round 42: Kagawa FA - Nagasaki 74-85

Very expected game in Takamatsu where 7th ranked Kagawa FA (12-32) was defeated by second ranked Nagasaki (30-14) 85-74 on Saturday. Nagasaki looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 5 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Nagasaki's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American Kyle Richardson (200-1991, college: Portland St.) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import center Nigel Spikes (208-1989, college: Marshall) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains second position with 30-14 record having seven points less than leader Chiba. Kagawa FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 32 games lost. Nagasaki will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kagawa FA will play again against the league's second-placed Nagasaki (#2) and hope to secure a win.
