Regular Season Round 41: Kumamoto V. - Fukuoka R. 90-85

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Fukuoka R. (15-28) was defeated on the road by third ranked Kumamoto V. (25-18) 90-85 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Kumamoto V. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Jamel McLean (202-1988, college: Xavier) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists. British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-1995, college: WKU) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) produced 23 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Marvelle Harris (196-1993, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) added 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kumamoto V. maintains third place with 25-18 record having seven points less than leader Saga B. Fukuoka R. lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 28 games lost. Kumamoto V. will meet Aomori W. (#5) on the road in the next round. Fukuoka R. will play against the league's leader Saga B. and hope to secure a win.
