Regular Season Round 39: Kagoshima - Saitama 92-74

The game between third ranked Saitama (32-8) and fifth ranked Kagoshima (31-9) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Saitama was defeated by Kagoshima in Renova 92-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Saitama. Kagoshima forced 19 Saitama turnovers. The best for the losing side was American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American center Will Creekmore (205-1989, college: Missouri St.) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Kagoshima moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Yokohama EX. Saitama at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Kagoshima is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Shinagawa (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Saitama will play against Yokohama EX (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
