Everything went according to plan when third ranked Kumamoto V. (24-18) defeated at home 5th ranked Fukuoka R. (15-27) 97-86 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Fukuoka R.'s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kumamoto V. made 7 blocks. The winners were led by American center Jamel McLean (202-1988, college: Xavier) who scored that evening 28 points and 7 assists and British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-1995, college: WKU) supported him with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Even 28 points and 5 steals by American point guard Marvelle Harris (196-1993, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Fukuoka R.. His fellow American import forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) added 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
