Regular Season Round 19: Aishin AW - Aranmare A. 63-66

A very close game took place in Anjo between Aranmare A. and Aishin AW. Ninth ranked Aranmare A. (8-11) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Aishin AW (6-13). Aranmare A. managed to escape with a 3-point win 66-63 in the game for the ninth place. Yui Kakazu (174-1999) fired 18 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Asuka Hiramatsu (162-1994) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Aranmare A. players scored in double figures. Senegalese forward Sanbu Astu (180-1999) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and June Mineharu (171-1999) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Aranmare A.. Newly promoted Aranmare A. maintains ninth place with 8-11 record. Aishin AW lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Aranmare A. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aishin AW will play again against Aranmare A. (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
