Regular Season Round 38: Shinagawa - Kanazawa 79-84
Date: February 23, 2023
Rather expected game when 16th ranked Shinagawa (3-37) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Kanazawa (12-28) 84-79 on Thursday. Kanazawa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-1995, agency: BIG) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Ukrainian point guard Igor Boyarkin (182-1995, agency: BIG) supported him with 11 points and 10 assists. Even 31 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists by American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Shinagawa. Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Five Kanazawa and four Shinagawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Kanazawa moved-up to thirteenth place. Shinagawa lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 37 lost games. Kanazawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shinagawa will play again against Kanazawa (#13) and hope to secure a win.
