Regular Season Round 22: Bars - Almaty L. 86-87

The most exciting game of round 22 in the Higher League took place in Petropavlovsk. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Bars (20-2) to third ranked Almaty L. (18-4) 87-86 on Monday evening. Almaty L. made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Guard Stanislav Sahipov (190-2002) scored 30 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and center Daniel Albrant (205-1998) chipped in 17 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-1994) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Artem Parfenov (196-1998) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Bars players scored in double figures. Almaty L. have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Almaty L. maintains third position with 18-4 record having just three points less than leader Shymkent. Bars at the other side keep the second place with two games lost.
