Very expected game in Tokyo where 14th ranked Niigata R. (2-17) was crushed by third ranked Denso I. (17-3) 98-54 on Sunday. Denso I. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata R.'s 36 and made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game, while Niigata R. only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Niigata R. 55-23 including a 39-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Maki Takada (185-1989) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international center Akaho Himawari (184-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Five Denso I. players scored in double figures. Guard Nakamura Hana (172-2003) produced 16 points and point guard Nakayama Itsuki (171-1996) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Denso I..
