Regular Season Round 22: Pilots - Dreamers 81-86

Very important is a loss of second ranked Pilots (14-7) against fifth ranked Dreamers (9-13) on Friday night. Pilots were defeated by Dreamers in a tough game 81-86. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Brandon Gilbeck (213-1996, college: W.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Turkish Ilkan Karaman (205-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 6 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) replied with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and center Chin-Yao Shih (188-1990) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Pilots. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dreamers maintains fifth position with 9-13 record. Pilots at the other side keep the second place with seven games lost. Dreamers will play against higher ranked Lioneers (#4) in Hsinchu in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pilots will play on the road against Fubon Braves in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
