Regular Season Round 9: NLEX RW - Hotshots 103-119

Another interesting game for Hotshots (3-3) which played in Makati City against 4th placed NLEX RW (4-2). Seventh ranked Hotshots had an easy win 119-103. Hotshots dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to NLEX RW's 36. They outrebounded NLEX RW 51-22 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Hotshots players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists. American Antonio Hester (199-1990, college: Mobile, AL, agency: Rigorer Korea Agency) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 5 assists (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Jiovani Jalalon (175-1992) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists. Hester is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American Wayne Selden (196-1994, college: Kansas, agency: Slash Sports) with 25 points and 9 assists and guard Kris Rosales (183-1990, college: HIU) scored 19 points and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hotshots have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. NLEX RW at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Hotshots will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. NLEX RW will play on the road against FiberXers (#3) in Makati and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
