Regular Season Round 39: FE Nagoya - Yokohama BC 70-84

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Yokohama BC (23-15) defeated on the road 6th ranked FE Nagoya (18-20) 84-70 on Sunday. Yokohama BC dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to FE Nagoya's 38. They outrebounded FE Nagoya 42-27 including a 36-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yokohama BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Yuki Kawamura (169-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 assists. American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) accounted for 21 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) for the winning side. Five Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. International Luke Evans (203-1991, college: CBU) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for FE Nagoya in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Yokohama BC keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kawasaki BT. FE Nagoya lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the third place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Osaka E. and Shinshu BW. Yokohama BC will meet at home Shinshu BW (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. FE Nagoya will play against Osaka E. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
