Regular Season Round 35: Toyoda - Yokohama EX 81-91

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Yokohama EX (27-9) beat 9th ranked Toyoda (14-22) in Aichi 91-81 on Sunday. Yokohama EX made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners and scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) accounted for 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Yokohama EX's coach DeMarcus Berry used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Australian center Andrew Ferguson (213-1998, college: CS Monterey) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Toyoda in the defeat. Five Toyoda players scored in double figures. Yokohama EX have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 27-9 record. Loser Toyoda keeps the ninth position with 22 games lost. Yokohama EX will meet Kanazawa (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
