Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Tokyo HT (11-24) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Iwate (30-5) 78-53 on Saturday. Iwate dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo HT's 26. Iwate forced 19 Tokyo HT turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Tokyo HT's players. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-1993) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate maintains second position with 30-5 record behind leader Shizuoka. Tokyo HT lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 24 games lost. Iwate will again meet at home Tokyo HT (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tokyo HT will have a break next round.
