An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hiroshima. Second ranked Hiroshima D. faced 3rd ranked Gunma CT. Host Hiroshima D. (28-9) defeated guests from Gunma (20-15) 97-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gunma CT. Hiroshima D. made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Hiroshima D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) responded with 35 points (!!!) and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-1981, college: Evergreen St.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Five Hiroshima D. and four Gunma CT players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Hiroshima D. maintains second position with 28-9 record having just four point less than leader Shimane SM, which they share with Ryukyu GK. Loser Gunma CT dropped to the fourth place with 15 games lost. Hiroshima D. will again meet at home Gunma CT (#4) in the next round. Gunma CT will have a break next round.
