Regular Season Round 38: Kyoto H. - Osaka E. 68-81

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Kyoto H.'s (15-22) home loss to sixth ranked Osaka E. (18-19) 68-81 on Saturday. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-1989, college: USAO, agency: BIG) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn St.) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and American forward Jarrod Uthoff (203-1993, college: Iowa) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Osaka E. moved-up to third place, which they share with FE Nagoya and Shinshu BW. Loser Kyoto H. dropped to the fifth position with 22 games lost. They share it with San-en NP. Osaka E. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto H. will play again against Osaka E. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
