Regular Season Round 34: Kagoshima - Gifu 92-98

The game with biggest difference of round 34 in B3 League was guest Gifu's (#8) road victory over higher ranked Kagoshima (27-8) 98-92 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kagoshima. They outrebounded Kagoshima 38-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. Gifu looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Kagoshima helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Noah Dahlman (202-1989, college: Wofford) fired 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Jerrell Wright (204-1991, college: La Salle) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Five Gifu players scored in double figures. American swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-1993, college: LCU) produced 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Nigerian-American forward Michael Fakuade (201-1989, college: UIS) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gifu maintains eighth position with 15-20 record. Kagoshima at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Gifu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kagoshima will play again at home against Gifu (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
