Regular Season Round 7: Hotshots - Phoenix 108-95

Hotshots' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Phoenix (1-5) 108-95. Hotshots players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was a great evening for American Antonio Hester (199-1990, college: Mobile, AL, agency: Rigorer Korea Agency) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized American forward Calvin Abueva (190-1988) helped adding 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Hester is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American forward DuVaughn Maxwell (201-1991, college: Hampton) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized American forward Jason Perkins (193-1992, college: VCSU) scored 20 points. Five Hotshots and four Phoenix players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hotshots (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. Phoenix at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Hotshots will play against higher ranked Ginebra Kings (#5) in Manila in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Phoenix will have a break next round.
