Regular Season Round 35: Tokyo Z - Kagawa FA 83-77

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Kagawa FA (10-27) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Tokyo Z (9-28) 83-77 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Reginald Buckner (206-1991, college: Ole Miss) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. American Kyle Richardson (200-1991, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-1996) added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo Z have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 9-28 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 27 games lost. Tokyo Z will meet league's leader Chiba on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kagawa FA will play against Ehime OV (#4) and hope to secure a win.
