Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Shanan Utd (11-23) defeated on the road 14th ranked Yamaguchi (9-25) 87-77 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Olivier (202-1992, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. His fellow American import center Joshua Crawford (211-1988, college: Indiana St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Jamaican-British center Ryan Richards (212-1991) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Isaiah Manderson (206-1994, college: S.Florida) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shanan Utd. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Tokyo HT. Yamaguchi lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 25 games lost. They share it with Tachikawa. Shanan Utd will meet at home higher ranked Veertien Mie (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yamaguchi will have a break next round.
