Regular Season Round 32: Yamaguchi - Shanan Utd 104-106

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Shanan Utd and 14th ranked Yamaguchi had identical 9-23 record. But Yamaguchi was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Kanagawa 106-104 on Saturday night. Shanan Utd shot 62.7 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. The winners were led by American forward Chris Olivier (202-1992, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 43 points (!!!) and 6 assists and the other American import center Joshua Crawford (211-1988, college: Indiana St.) supported him with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 34 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by Jamaican-British center Ryan Richards (212-1991) did not help to save the game for Yamaguchi. American forward Isaiah Manderson (206-1994, college: S.Florida) added 20 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shanan Utd (10-23) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Kanazawa. Yamaguchi lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 24 games lost. They share it with Tachikawa. Shanan Utd will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play again against Shanan Utd (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
