Regular Season Round 36: Alvark Tokyo - Osaka E. 74-66

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Alvark Tokyo (29-6) beat at home 6th ranked Osaka E. (17-18) 74-66 on Saturday. The winners were led by Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Shuto Ando (189-1994) supported him with 15 points. Even 18 points by American guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn St.) did not help to save the game for Osaka E.. The former international forward Ira Brown (193-1982, college: Gonzaga) added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alvark Tokyo have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 29-6 record having just eight point less than leader Shimane SM. Loser Osaka E. dropped to the third place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Shinshu BW. Alvark Tokyo will again meet at home Osaka E. (#6) in the next round. Osaka E. will have a break next round.
