Regular Season Round 19: Lioneers - Pilots 70-88

An exciting game was when Second ranked Pilots faced 4th placed Lioneers. Pilots (12-4) defeated Lioneers (9-10) 88-70. Pilots forced 19 Lioneers turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St., agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-1990, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds and the former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Lioneers. Four Lioneers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pilots maintains second place with 12-4 record behind leader Kings. Lioneers at the other side keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Pilots will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lioneers will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Pilots (#2) in Taoyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
