No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Fubon Braves (9-9) smashed bottom-ranked Steelers (3-14) 106-82 on Sunday. Fubon Braves made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Fubon Braves outrebounded Steelers 54-37 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Steelers' players. It was a great evening for American power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) helped adding 22 points and 7 rebounds. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ukrainian center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-1987, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and American Aaron Harrison (198-1994, college: Kentucky, agency: Slash Sports) scored 21 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves moved-up to third place. Loser Steelers stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Fubon Braves will meet Dreamers (#5) in the next round. Steelers will play against Lioneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
