Fourth ranked Saitama (24-6) crushed at home 15th ranked Shanan Utd (8-22) by 17 points 97-80, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Saitama looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import Grant Sitton (206-1993, college: Victoria) chipped in 18 points. Four Saitama players scored in double figures.
