Regular Season Round 32: Hitachi SRT - San-en NP 103-93
Date: January 21, 2023
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tokyo where one of their biggest challengers San-en NP (14-18) was defeated by fifth ranked Hitachi SRT (13-17) 103-93 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Hitachi SRT especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) chipped in 27 points and 9 rebounds. Center Kyle OQuinn (206-1990, college: Norfolk St., agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San-en NP's coach Branislav Vicentic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hitachi SRT maintains fifth position with 13-17 record. Loser San-en NP keeps the fourth place with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
