Regular Season Round 3: Al Rayyan - Al Sadd 58-86

Al Rayyan (3-1) recorded a loss in Doha. Hosts were rolled over by Al Sadd (1-0) 86-58. Al Sadd held Al Rayyan to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Al Rayyan 51-31 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Sadd players were unselfish on offense dishing 51 assists comparing to just 31 passes made by Al Rayyan's players. It was an exceptional evening for American-German forward Waverly Austin (211-1991, college: Oregon) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists. Guard Mohamed Sadi accounted for 24 points, 15 rebounds, 15 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. American point guard Adonte Parker (186-1989, college: Dayton) came up with 23 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the other American import swingman Mario Little (198-1987, college: Kansas) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Al Rayyan in the defeat. Al Rayyan's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
