Regular Season Round 31: Guangdong ST - Liaoning FL 108-99

An interesting game for Guandong Tigers (22-5) which hosted in Dongguan their biggest opponent Flying Leopards (22-6). Third ranked Guandong Tigers managed to get a 9-point victory 108-99. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Flying Leopards. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Guandong Tigers made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American MarShon Brooks (197-1989, college: Providence) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Mingxuan Hu (191-1998) contributed with 13 points and 8 assists for the winners. American guard Kyle Fogg (191-1990, college: Arizona) answered with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Ailun Guo (189-1993) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Flying Leopards. Four Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guandong Tigers moved-up to second place. Defending champion Flying Leopards dropped to the third position with six games lost.
