Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Tochigi Brex (14-16) won against 8th ranked Hokkaido L. (7-23) in Sapporo 85-70 on Wednesday. Tochigi Brex dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hokkaido L.'s 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: Louisiana, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and American-Finnish forward Alex Murphy (206-1993, college: Northeastern) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Hokkaido L. in the defeat. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 14-16 record, which they share with Osaka E. Hokkaido L. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 23 games lost.
