Regular Season Round 26: Gifu - Shinagawa 80-73

Very expected game when 16th ranked Shinagawa (1-26) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Gifu (11-16) 80-73 on Saturday. Gifu dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Shinagawa's 36. They outrebounded Shinagawa 42-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. American forward Jerrell Wright (204-1991, college: La Salle) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Noah Dahlman (202-1989, college: Wofford) chipped in 19 points during the contest. American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) scored 18 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gifu maintains eighth position with 11-16 record. Loser Shinagawa stay dead last with 26 lost games. Gifu will again meet at home bottom-ranked Shinagawa (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shinagawa will have a break next round.
